Hairline Restoration
Single-hair grafts placed at precise angles for a soft, natural front line.
Direct Hair Implantation with an implanter pen — precise control over angle, depth and density for a natural, dense hairline.
DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) is an advanced form of follicle-by-follicle transplant. Grafts are extracted the same way as in FUE, but instead of making channels first, each graft is loaded into a fine implanter pen and placed directly into the scalp in a single step.
This gives the surgeon very fine control over the angle, depth and direction of every hair, and reduces the time grafts spend outside the body. It is especially useful for hairlines, temples and adding density between existing hair — often without shaving the recipient area.
DHI takes longer per graft and needs specialised instruments, so it is usually recommended for specific areas or combined with FUE for larger coverage.

Single-hair grafts placed at precise angles for a soft, natural front line.
Tight, detailed work where angle control matters most.
Add grafts without disturbing the hair you still have.
For small areas, the recipient zone can often stay unshaven.
Density along the partition without shaving the head.
The same precision is used for facial hair restoration.
Both techniques take individual follicles from your donor area and give permanent, natural-looking results. The difference is in how the grafts are placed. Your doctor will recommend one — or a combination — after examining your scalp.
| FUE Hair Transplant | DHI Hair Transplant | |
|---|---|---|
| How grafts are placed | Tiny channels are made first, then grafts are placed into them | Grafts are loaded into an implanter pen and placed directly — channel and placement in one step |
| Best suited for | Medium to large areas, crown and advanced hair loss | Hairline, temples, small areas and adding density between existing hair |
| Grafts in one session | Higher — suitable for larger sessions | Usually fewer per session, as each graft is placed individually |
| Shaving | Donor and recipient areas are usually trimmed | Recipient area can often stay unshaven for small areas |
| Density & angle control | Excellent in experienced hands | Very precise depth, angle and direction control |
| Scars | No stitches, no linear scar — tiny dots that hide in hair | No stitches, no linear scar — tiny dots that hide in hair |
| Cost | More economical for large sessions | Usually costs more due to the time and instruments involved |

DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) is a hair transplant technique where extracted grafts are loaded into an implanter pen and placed directly into the scalp, without making separate channels first. It allows very precise control over angle, depth and density.
DHI is excellent for hairlines, small areas and adding density between existing hair. FUE is more efficient for large areas and big sessions. The right choice depends on your hair loss — sometimes both are combined.
For small areas such as the hairline or density work, the recipient area can often be left unshaven. The donor area usually needs some trimming. Your doctor will confirm what is possible for you.
Each graft is loaded and implanted individually with specialised pens, which takes more time and resources than standard implantation.
It is done under local anaesthesia, so discomfort is minimal. Most patients feel only the initial numbing injections.
